creative commons logoHave you ever been asked to select a Creative Commons license to accompany a manuscript? Have you ever considered licensing your own material for others to use? This 60-minute class will introduce you to the background and purpose of the Creative Commons, provide information about the licenses and their differences, and leave you with a practical understanding of how to select the correct license for your intellectual property (manuscripts, data, and other education materials).

By the end of this session, learners will be able to:

  • Define the Creative Commons and identify the nuances between licenses
  • Read and explain author/publishing agreements that include language about the Creative Commons
  • Plan for the reuse of their content, especially tables, figures, and images

* If you are unable to attend this class, please fill out this form to request a one-on-one consultation with a Librarian.
