EndNote is a program for managing and organizing a library of citations and creating in-text citations and bibliographies. Prerequisite: prior to the session, download EndNote for Windows or Mac through Duke's Office of Information Technology.

By the end of this session, learners will be able to:

  • Learn core functions of EndNote in order to create an EndNote Library, set up preferences, add citations and associated PDFs, and other features.
  • Use the citation style manager to create in-text citations and a bibliography.
  • Appraise personal reference needs and determine how EndNote can help.
